These days the economy in Indonesia is not any better and so is the crimes. One of the popular crime is the criminal using hypnosis. This is one of the easier way for the people do the criminal act to steal money from the victim. Many years ago my mother was robbed through hypnotic, at that time she was alone and no one else at home. A young guy was looking for my brother and wanted to talk with him. * My brother and his family stay at my parents home to help and take care of my parents (at that my dad was still alive).
My mom allowed this person to come inside the house and wait until my brother come home. While they had a conversation, without my mother realized he hypnotized her. I don't know the detail and how this happened, because I already moved the United States.
And then my mom allowed him to go in my brother's bed room, my mom was not thinking clear or realizing what happened after that.
After my brother and his wife came home they found out that his money gone as well as his wife's gold jewelry. The good thing the thief did not take my mother's belongings and money, especially he did not injure my mom or other bad thing happened to my mother.
My sister and her husband have ever been hypnotized by the people in Singapore, the story is completely different with what happened to my mother. Several years ago long before I moved to the U.S., my sister and her husband were on a vacation in Singapore, over there they gambled with the people somewhere, it was not clear and I never asked them again whether women or men and the detail of the story and they got hypnotized by these people. They hypnotized my sister and her husband to make them played more and more, and they lost more their money in gambling which I think this kind of gambling's named is mahjong. The type of the Chinese gamble. We can see at Chinese or Taiwanese movies for this kind of gambling.
The other common criminal using hypnotize in Indonesia is the people who come to the victim in the public place and when the victim saw the eyes and touch the hand (Shake hand) of that person, the victim will be hypnotized and followed what thief's instruction, from following and taking the money in the bank's victim or withdraw the victim's money at ATM machine.
Another story when the processing of selling the house, the thief was pretending to help in selling the house, when they met in person to discuss of selling the house, the thief hypnotized the victim. By the time the victim succeed in selling the house, it's kind of strange happened, they gave the money from selling their house to the thief. They didn't realize they lost their money for two weeks because they still under spell or hypnotic.
Another tricky method is when people involved with marketing and selling their product, they can attract to the customer to buy their product through hypnotic.I heard this story happened also in the U.S. and other countries.

This story has similarity like the one in Indonesia, but mostly the people who do this is the Gypsy. I heard in Russia or East Erope there are many Gypsies there, is famous do a lot of supernatural, paranormal activities and fortune telling.
That's why I'm not surprised the Gypsy people who do a lot of criminals with the hypnotic in Russia.
In the U.S. there are many famous Gypsy fortune tellers. One time my husband has been to the Gypsy fortune teller just for fun only, here you can find at the carnivals, but it's not guarantee they're true Gypsy people or not. Anyway I don't believe the fortune teller although sometimes their prediction comes true, because according to my believe in Christian is not good for being involved with the evil spirit or satanic ritual thing. I'm sure all these things including the hypnotism is involved with satanic.The Hypnotism is myst ical, don't against it with another witchcraft, sorcery, black magic or ask help from demon. I think hypnotism is from the black magic itself. The other hypnotic thing for the
good reason such as quit smoking,
losing weight, and other type of healing,
I don't think this is such a good idea.
I don't believe hypnotize is good thing to do,
because this is not different using the black magic.
Let's God helps us to overcome the problem in our life and against anything from satanic or demonic power. There is no such white magic, white magic is the same thing comes from demon or satan, don't believe with it. Only the power or word of God can fight and defeating the black magic or satanic power, if we fall in that kind of life, I mean using the black magic, we become a servant of demon, it's miserable and dangerous. We do not want to live farther and farther from God and becoming of Satanic believers.

Hypnotism is often promoted as a simple way of refocusing ourselves. As believers in Christ, our focus should be on our Savior, not on ourselves or anything else (Hebrews 12:2). The answers do not lie within us (Romans 7:18); the solution we need is found only in Christ (Romans 8:2). Any time a person allows his subconscious mind to be taken over by someone other than himself/ herself, he/ she is asking for trouble. I agree. And is also my frank belief, That no human being should submit his deepest self to anyone other than GOD the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Any other type of submission is inviting trouble and danger.

That's why i always believe "low crime doesn't mean no crime" so we have to be alert at all time wherever we are...

I think hypnotism is related with our deepest self.
You're right, we only can give our deepest self to our God!
I believe that when someone give him/her deepest self to God, he/she can't be hypnotized!

We have the stewardship of our mind. It is argued hynosis opens a door for external controls. Once hynotized, much easier the next time, "have you been hynotized before".

Hypnosis is dangerous, for you put your mind in someone else's control, the Bible says to guard your heart but how can you guard your heart or mind if you have little control. there are such things as demonic healing. and truly the mind is by far the more complex than any computer.

It like intoxication, or a meditative state as in sorcery *2, suppresses the higher function of the brain including the conscience. It makes one susceptible to demonic influences as well.
